Teaching Knitting

One thing I just love doing is teaching someone how to make something. This is Audrey and she though making socks would be something she could never do. So I said I could teach her the basics for making a sock by guiding her through the Fuzzy Feet pattern from Knitty.com.
This of course is a very large sock that will be felted and the result will be a very warm and Fuzzy slipper. Nice thing about this process is that when you felt something it hides all mistakes. Unlike a sock that has to be presice, a Fuzzy Feet pattern can teach her all the same steps for making a sock.
Audrey was amazed, as you can see by her expression, that she was able to make this.
I was very happy and satisfied that I could guide her through this process.

Sunset in Cloverdale

Sunset last night was just amazing for a few minutes.

Tree Bag

I just finished my latest bag.
I felt like this one just fell into place.
I love the handle and how it works with the tree on the bag.

the Last Sunny dry day...

One of the last days of dry summer weather I was cleaning up in the back yard and I came accross this creature roaming in the grass. I layed down and took a bunch of pictures and this is the best one. Isn't he cute?

Do you notice something weird about this advertisment?

Since I last blogged...

Since the last time I blogged I've had another bunion surgery, knitted a ton of stuff because I am in a craft show Nov 14 and 15 and won a door prize at BC's Creative Expo here in Langley.

The surgery went well. The recovery went alot smoother than last time and I can get a larger show on for awhile. Its a good thing we only have two feet because I don't want to do that again in the near future. I gained 10 pounds, I'm out of shape and I want to get going. Patience!!!

The knitting just doesn't slow down. I will be at the craft show for two days so I have to have some back up stuff. I just don't know what will sell and how things will go but I am excited.

Yesterday I went to the 3rd annual Creative Expo and won the door prize which consisted of $150 worth of Felting paraphanalia!!! Actually I shouldn't lie... Denise came with me to the Expo and she actually was the winner. She doesn't felt so she gave it to me. Lucky me hey? Yeh!!!
Look at all that lovely Roving!!!!!!! I can't wait to get at it.
Oh ya, right, I have alot of knitting to do for the Craft fair. Well, maybe I can put a little felting on things......mmmmm..........
