Isn't she the cutest?

This is Josie on our roof. She gets their through my son's bedroom window. He closed the door to his room before he left this morning so she was trapped. This is one of the nicest pictures of her. It's almost like she's asking me nicely to open the door...of course we know better. She's probably swearing under her breath and calling me an idiot. "I'm waiting open the door."

This morning the sun came out and stayed. As the fence became heated steam starting pouring off of it. It's almost like our hottub was steaming away waiting for us to come in and relax. mmm(that's just a dream)

Beach Boys

Last night I went with a friend to see the Beach Boys. She had this extra ticket and I hadn't seen her for awhile being stuck at home with a sore foot so I decided to go. Now I'm not that excited about the Beach Boys. Don't get me wrong , I do like some of their songs but a whole evening?

Well, once the guys came onto the stage I thought they were just some old farts. They hardly moved when they sang and I was worried they'd fall over. On the other hand they did sound pretty good. Their was five guys on stage all night but I think these two guys were the originals:

By the time the evening was near its end we were standing up and dancing. I tell ya, I haven't had so much fun in a long time. I didn't sleep well that night and everytime I woke up I was singing the Beach Boy songs.

So, even though they seemed old they still new how to get us going. We were singing and dancing and clapping and having a great time.

We may have fit in better than we thought.

Driving around and what did I see?

I found where all the train recks end up. The ABC Recycling depot

Daughter going to Australia

Dd #2 is going travelling with a few friends to Australia, New Zealand and Thailand. She will leave Sunday and come home at the end of May. She'll have three summers in a row so she'll need something to keep her popcan (I'm sure)cool. I made her one. The friends that she will be travelling with want one too. So...I made two more.

Felted cover for my new camera. I just love this camera. Its a Canon A720.
Josie is doing what she loves to do. Sleeeeeeeep.

Several months ago, when I would get up in the morning I would fine balls of wool everywhere. Now, these balls of wool were not there the night before and I knew that Josie had brought them out. It was kind of funny. They'd be anywhere in the house. Well, it suddenly stopped. I don't know why it stopped but it did. About four mornings ago, I found wool once again and every morning since. Now, is this weird behaviour? She walks around with them in her mouth meowing. I thinks its real cute.

Morning Glory

Sun and rain together!!

It was so pretty out side this morning with the sun coming up.

Finally had it done

Two weeks ago I finally had my bunion shaved from my left foot. Today I get the stitches removed. One bonus point about this whole thing is that my foot looks really nice now. The shape I mean. Its still swollen but there is no point sticking out and my toe is straight. I don't think its ever been straight in my whole life!!! Now my other foot looks...well,... like it doesn't belong.

Summer is Over

So...my youngest and the only one that goes to school right now has returned to school. She is in grade 11 and doesn't seem so excited about going. We had a great summer, her and I , doing all kinds of stuff. She was always around and didn't mind hanging with her mother. We went camping several times, gave ourselves camping pedicures complete with rock toe separators,
did some fishing,
climbed a few mountains,

climbed the grouse grind with her Father and beat him every time at 52 minutes.
I think the summer would have been more interesting for her if we had gone on a road trip. This is what she really wanted to do so hopefully next summer we can do abit of travelling instead of staying in the same place camping. Having kids all over and trying to get them all together
for a camping expereince is not easy and so staying close to home was the best solution for the family.

The wettest Camping experience ever

We camped at a local camp site just so all the children could join us without having to drive too far. The first few days were beautiful
and then the rains came. It would rain all night at first and then after a few days continue during the day.

We have camped every summer since before the kids were born and never have we left a site early. The rain was relentless and everything was getting so damp. So we packed up and headed for home. My dh is probably the best "tarp" person around these parts and so we stayed dry where we ate and where we slept and even close to the fire if we could keep it going. The first morning we got there I was up early and caught a bunch of slugs attaching our stuff.
This guy was quite interesting. Never have we ever had trouble with slugs while camping, just some Squirrels, Crows, Chipmunks, and maybe an Owl or two. Never slugs.
