Pat's creation

Pattie made this to celebrate some of our Birthdays.

Pretty Hey?!!! It was delicious!!!
It's been awhile since my last post because I've have been real busy with my new temporary job. I am working for Canada Revenue Agency and this is full time until the end of May. I get up at 5.20 am, take the bus to CRA, work 7.5 hrs get back on the bus and head for home. All in all I am away from home 10 hours. I like taking the bus. I don't have to worry about traffic, parking, gas, or hitting someone when I am trying to knit!!! HaHa. You meet alot of interesting people and some that are a little scary. But I feel perfectly safe taking the bus. I've only missed the bus three time. The first time I took it, the secound time when I changed pick up spots and the third when I was so busy knitting my bus drove on by without me knowing. My family sure thought that was funny. I'm sure I haven't heard the last of that. Today I didn't go to work because I caught that horrible flue that's going around. It just wears me out and I feel so like puking.
Since I last posted I have also lost 14 pounds on my Weight Watcher journey. This is really good timing because summer is coming!!! It has not been easy but this time it seems really important. I'm almost 50 and I don't want to be unhealthy 50 I want to be bouncing around doing stuff for the next 30 years. Yeah!! So watching my weight is a big thing for me. It comes on easy and gets harder and harder to come off.
Through all this I have continued to knit. I finished the Central Park Hoodie. It was a beautiful sweater and I say was because it was too small and I decided to take it apart and knit a bigger size. Call me stupid but I was not going to wear it that small so...I took it all apart and started a new one.

I've also knitted another Lacy washcloth, started another pair of socks and made a few things with my felted sweaters from Value Village. I've also knitted two Surprise Sweaters by Elizabeth Zimmermann. They were made with verigated wool and so the patterns were always a surprise.

  1. For someone who is busy working, keeping a home and having 4 children and a husband, I'm amazed at the amount of knitting that you can get done. I'm impressed!

Too bad you frogged the Central Park Hoodie. I would have bought it from you as I haven't made one for my daughter yet and she's wondering if I'll ever get around to do all the projects that I've told her I'd make for her.

I love your sense of humour in difficult situations.
