I was in the hospital with my son today, he needed a bone scan because he injured his hand while snowboarding
and a regular Xray wouldn't show the reason for his pain. This was a 4 hour test so I knew I had to find something to do. I came prepared and took out my knitting, sat in a corner trying not to be to conspicuous and began clicking away.
All of a sudden, out of nowhere this nice lady was standing in front of me with such a big smile on her face. She was carrying a Booga Bag!!!I thought I met my long lost sister. Wow, I had never met anyone who carried a booga bag around with them and to make it even better she had her knitting in it. Right away we had so much in common.
We talked about wool, about our projects, and our desire to knit all the time. We got to know each other in just a few moments only in a way that knitters can. Sometimes it feels like I'm the only one who is nuts about knitting and then just out of the blue I met another one.
We exchanged business cards and then went on our merry way dreaming about the next thing we would make.
I told my family about her and they just laughed. Maybe they will believe me that there are other people out there like me.
